The VVS Collection · Engagement Rings
Four settings. Six shapes. Every ring ships with VVS1 clarity and D-E color as a non-negotiable floor. IGI certified. 14K solid gold. Sourced through 20 years of direct SEEPZ manufacturer relationships.
The setting defines the ring's silhouette. The diamond quality — clarity, color, certification, metal — does not change between them.
The center stone, unframed. Classic prong setting.
A single diamond in a four- or six-prong mount — the setting recedes so the stone commands the finger. The prongs lift the diamond to capture light from every angle, maximizing the round brilliant cut's 57-facet fire. Available in 14K white, yellow, or rose gold. Bezel variant available on request.
A ring of smaller diamonds frames the center stone.
Micro-pavé diamonds encircle the center stone, adding visual presence without increasing the center carat weight. The halo reads 20-30% larger face-up than the equivalent solitaire — the smaller stones disappear at normal viewing distance, leaving what appears to be one continuous field of light. All halo melee stones meet the same VVS1 D-E floor.
Center stone flanked by two matched side stones.
A center diamond flanked by two side stones — traditionally representing past, present, and future. The side stones add total carat weight and lateral sparkle, framing the center with bilateral symmetry. Pear-cut and trillion-cut flanks are most common; matched rounds also available. All three stones meet the VVS1 D-E floor.
Diamonds set continuously along the band.
Micro-pavé diamonds run along the band shank, creating continuous sparkle that extends past the center stone. "Pavé" means paved — the band appears paved with diamonds from every angle. The center stone remains the focal point; the band amplifies it rather than competing. All pavé stones meet the VVS1 D-E floor.
Shape determines the ring's character and how it looks on the hand. Each cut handles light differently.

The VVS Guarantee
The VVS Guarantee is non-negotiable. Every engagement ring ships meeting the same floor — no tiers, no upsells, no downgraded stones dressed as premium. The IGI grading report included with every order is the proof — not our marketing copy.
Mark — the founder — has procured directly from SEEPZ manufacturers in Mumbai for 20 years. SEEPZ is India's Special Economic Zone dedicated to gem and jewelry manufacturing. The relationship is with the manufacturer, not a distributor — no intermediary in the supply chain between the manufacturing floor and your ring box.
Every order goes through Mark's review before it ships. Not a QA checklist. One person's eye, applied to every ring — the same standard the manufacturer applies at source.

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds — pure carbon in a cubic crystal lattice, graded on the same 4C scale by the IGI and GIA. The FTC revised its jewelry guidelines in 2018 to remove "natural" as a requirement from the definition of diamond. A lab-grown diamond will pass every standard diamond test because it is a real diamond.
Every engagement ring we sell ships with VVS1 clarity and D-E color as a non-negotiable floor. There is no tier structure — no "good, better, best" — every ring meets the same minimum. VVS1 means the inclusions are microscopic and invisible to the naked eye. D-E means the diamond is colorless. Both specs are confirmed on the IGI grading report included with every order.
Round brilliant is the most popular choice because its 57-facet cut is mathematically optimized for maximum light return — it sparkles more than any other shape. Oval is the fastest-growing choice because the elongated profile faces up 10–15% larger than a round at the same carat weight and flatters the hand. Emerald and cushion suits partners who prefer a more distinctive, fashion-forward look. The shapes guide on this page covers each option in detail.
Every ring ships with: the diamond in the selected setting, the IGI grading report for the center stone, the ring box, and free standard shipping. Free resizing is included — if you order a size that doesn't fit, we resize it. No charge. Custom orders (non-standard sizes, alternative metals) are available on request at contact@studsdirect.com.
The most reliable method is to visit a local jeweler for a professional sizing — most do this at no charge. If you are buying as a surprise, borrow a ring your partner currently wears on the correct finger and measure its inner diameter. Average women's sizes fall between 5 and 7, with size 6 being the most common. Because free resizing is included, an approximate size is perfectly fine — we'll fix it after the proposal.
30-day returns on unworn pieces. If the ring doesn't match the spec on the IGI grading report, we replace it — full replacement, no argument. Standard change-of-mind returns require the piece to be unworn and in original packaging. Contact contact@studsdirect.com.
